Fragmentation and regionalization of emergency care services, nursing workforce shortages, disaster preparedness and pediatric emergency care must be prioritized at the local, state and federal levels to improve the nation's emergency care system, according to written testimony provided today to Congressional and national policy leaders by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA).
