Nurse chosen to lead hospital (Boston Globe)


A registered nurse has been elected acting president of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Nancy Formella joins a select minority of nurses serving as chief executive officers of hospitals in the country. The American Hospital Association says 132 nurses are CEOs at 137 hospitals -- with some leading more than one hospital. The association says that is out of 6,-035 hospitals.
