Hospital again accepting ambulances (San Jose Mercury News)


After a hiatus of almost two months, Doctors Medical Center is accepting emergency ambulances again. Shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, Contra Costa County's emergency services director, Art Lathrop, gave the all-clear for the San Pablo hospital's emergency room to go off diversion, a status that meant 911 call ambulances had to drive patients to other area hospitals. Diversion ended at 9:09 a.m.
