Hospital planned for Balad (Army Times)


The tent walls will soon be coming down for the Air Force Theater Hospital at Balad Air Base in Iraq. Air Force and Army commanders broke ground Oct. 14 on a new base hospital. The hard-walled facility will cover 92,500 square feet and cost $21 million, according to the Air Force.
