How is CNA work different from being a nurse?
I am a hospice CNA and am considering going back to school for a BSN (I already have a bachelors in another area). I appreciate my job for what it is but I don't think I want to be a CNA for over 8 months. I'm tired of wiping butts and giving showers. Does this mean I am not cut out to be a nurse? Or is nursing totally different in ways that I do not observe while I'm on the job?

YES. Working as a CNA for a hospice is TOTALLY different than being an RN. Go visit your local hospital (for example, you might want to tour the OB, ICU, OR, and ER units). RNs may still "wipe butts", but they also have a lot more responsibilities, and many more doors open to them.
