Special Report on Nursing Home Resident Care in Southern MN


The Bush administration is planning to cut Medicaid funding for nursing home care by $1.5 billion per year. Unless the U.S. Congress takes blocking action, the administration intends to issue regulations that would cut in half permissible provider assessments, an established Medicaid funding mechanism, from 6 percent to 3 percent.
