Kenya's Robert Cheruiyot won the Chicago Marathon but ended the day in hospital after falling at the finish and hitting his head on the ground. Cheruiyot won in a time of 2hr 07min 35sec. However, his joy was shortlived when he slipped immediately before the tape.
