An industrial dispute is threatening to disrupt surgery at two Tasmanian hospitals as nurses step up work bans on elective surgery. Nurses at the Launceston General Hospital have unanimously voted to implement work bans from Friday, cancelling elective surgery if staffing levels are deemed unsafe.
