Hospital cited in organ purchase scam is outside transplant


_ The Uwajima Tokushukai Hospital, which carried out a kidney transplant on a man suspected of buying the organ from a live donor, is not a member of the Japan Organ Transplant Network that coordinates transplant operations using organs from brain-dead donors, sources familiar with the matter said Wednesday.
