JACKSON, Miss. -- Police have identified a nursing home employee fatally shot at the Mississippi Care Center in Corinth as Irene Simmons. Corinth Police Chief David Lancaster said Simmons was shot and killed by her estranged husband, 39-year-old Andre P. Simmons of Walnut.
