Kazakhstan: Children Get H.I.V. at Hospital (New York Times


A government official confirmed that 55 children had contracted the H.I.V. virus through contaminated blood or used needles at a hospital in the south. Health Minister Yerbolat Dosayev said final tests had been received for just half of the 9,800 children who came in contact with the needles and blood supplies in June and July.
