FORT WORTH -- The 16-year-old shot by a police officer at school left the hospital Saturday and is now in police custody. The shooting happened Friday at South Hills High School in Fort Worth. Police said a group of students jumped Officer Gabe Medrano who fired his gun "out of fear for his life."
