Infection risk in kids living near landfills

Reuters - Living near a hazardous waste
site containing persistent pollutants such as dioxins,
polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and chlorinated pesticides,
seems to increase the risk of hospitalization for respiratory
infections and asthma in children, a study suggests.
