Researchers at Yale School of Medicine have found that persistent bathing disability among the elderly can increase the risk of long-term nursing home admission by 77 percent, but interventions aimed at prevention and remediation could reduce the need for these long-term care services.The results are published in the August issue of Gerontology: Medical Sciences.
