Nurse used tweezers to prise out staple in patient's scalp


A NURSE who tried to prise a metal clip from a patient's scalp with tweezers has been allowed to continue practising in Croydon. The traumatised patient went white with shock after Mary Varkey only managed to wrench half of the clip out of his head wound, a disciplinary hearing was told.
