well first of all...nursing homes are not bad...i spent my career in several of them.....and altho im an RN...i worked as charge nurse more times than anything else...

but no, as a vocational nurse (LPN, LVN).....you can work anywhere...hospital, doctors office, home health, nursing home....depending on your area of course..theres just as many jobs as RNs...at least for the most part... theres also school nursing too....

so your options are plentiful
