Nursing homes fail fire risk test (The Courier Mail)


THOUSANDS of elderly Queenslanders remain at risk in nursing homes that have failed to meet new fire safety standards. The homes failed their tests although the state received more than $218 million in federal funding two years ago for sprinklers, fire doors and safety equipment.
