Local students receive nursing scholarships (Sand Mountain


Students attending Gadsden State Community College, Jacksonville State University, Snead State, the University of Alabama and Northeast Alabama received the second annual distribution from the Gadsden-Etowah County Physician Scholarship Fund. Of the 16 individuals who were awarded nursing scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,500, the following Sand Mountain area residents received money.
