Northland hospital competition heats up (Kansas City Star)


Another long-term acute-care hospital has been proposed for the Northland. A group consisting of North Kansas City Hospital, Liberty Hospital and St. Louis-based RehabCare Group Inc. is seeking state approval for a new long-term acute-care hospital at the northeast corner of U.S. 169 and Northwest 68th Street. The 50-bed, $16.7 million facility would create 140 to 160 new jobs.
