Is this a breech of confidentiality?
A group of student nurses were discussing a doctor last week and were conversing amongst ourselves. One of the students was discussing an observation she had been to and listed the Dx the doc had made. No patient name, site, doc name was given. minimal signs and symptoms were told. Is this a breech?
no if you cant identify patient it is not. only problem is if you were in a cafeteria say adn you said teh lady in bed 8 in icu.... then she could be identified and its a problem. other wise we use to cut names off of papers and take them home from hospital.
