Question? about LVN's
Ok so I want to be a nurse and I am looking into LVN school's. My sister who is a 2nd year nursing student and she says it is stupied to be an LVN because she says they are phasing out LVN's! Is this true? Would LVN's ever go away? sorry if this is a dumb question.

LPN
It probably depends on where you live. I live in Pa and I'm a LPN. I graduated in '88 and have never found it hard to find work. You will probably have to work in either a nursing home or home care.

Research what is happening in your area and God bless you in your endeavors. Smile

they are starting to phase them out as much as they can. if you are already one you can still get a job. in texas they use a ton of lvn's. but in florida alot of hospitals are starting to higher RN's instead. if you are an lvn/lpn most hospitals wont fire you if they higher you they arre just not higher that many or any at all. nursing homes still use lpns alot. most of the nurse there are lpns
