Nurse raises £35,000 to buy scanner (Manchester Online)


A NURSE was so fed up with her hospital equipment she raised £35,000 to help buy a new scanner. Neera Bhandari, a sonographer at Manchester's Wythenshawe Hospital, took it upon herself to replace the maternity department's ultra-sound scanner to clear the waiting lists more quickly.
