Nurse arrested in patient death (Denver Post)


A former nurse at the Denver veterans affairs medical center has been arrested and is accused of killing an elderly patient when she disabled an oxygen monitoring machine, according to a federal indictment unsealed today. Carol Elkins committed "gross acts of negligence," which resulted in the death of William T. Leslie in 2003, according to the indictment.
