Grants/Scholarships available for LPN to RN?
I am a very frustrated LPN in Ohio. The doctor for whom I worked previously downsized and, as the low man on the ladder, I was let go. My job search is limited, it seems, to nursing home care.
My experience in LTC (as a CNA) was quite depressing, and I would like to avoid going back to that environment. I have a great desire to go back to school to become an RN and take advantage of the multitude of job opportunities I see posted all over the web and the local newspapers, but I simply don't have the money to do so.
Is anyone aware of any scholarships or grants available to those in my position? Anyone who has ever searched the internet for those types of things knows how many sites are in place simply to take advantage of the web traffic generated by these searches, making it very difficult to find any real information.
Any help you can offer would be GREATLY appreciated!

try contacting a local hospital. most will do a contract were they will pay for nursing school if you agree to work for them for so many years (normaly one year of service per one year of school) that is how i paid for mine.
