Nursing student cited for trying to save parakeets (WFSB 3)


WEST HAVEN (AP) -- The crusade to save the monk parakeets has its first martyr. West Haven police have arrested nursing student Julie Cook after a confrontation with a United Illuminating crew seeking to remove a nest from a light pole on her street.
