Just a thought...
I just read this great article in the New York Times. It's a sort of review about a one-woman stage performance where she reinacts stories of people she met in hospitals (kind of like The Vagina Monologues, but focusing on health care). It's interesting because the writer is reflecting on her own expereinces with the health care industry. It's the top story in the Health section of today's paper, it's called "What Does Grace Mean to You?" in case anyone wants to read it.
I know we work in this setting day in and day out, but I think it's good to remember how much we affect people on a daily basis...everyone from our coworkers to our patients to family members. I just wanted to put my thoughts out there. If anyone else reads the story, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
