CORPUS CHRISTI - Spared the wrath of Hurricane Rita, Coastal Bend leaders told Gov. Rick Perry's evacuation task force Wednesday that they learned much about what worked and what didn't - including finding out the state had already filled up shelters where nursing homes had contracted to go.
