Hi there...nursing managers?
Hi everyone. I'm just starting my first nursing job as a fully licensed RN (hoo-ray). It's been pretty intense so far.

One position I'm curious in learning more about is the management. Do nursing managers at clinics simply work their way up to this placement, or do they require a different set of administrative credentials? I'm thinking it might be an interesting pursuit for me, but I don't really understand how the hierarchy works.

Thanks for having me!

nursing management
From my experience most management level positions require experience. I have been an RN for 18+ years and have never seen a new RN in management. Give yourself a couple years and show your employer that you are able to be self directed and a strong leader.
